In the year 2000, New Jerusalem Church was founded under the aegis of Pastor V. Rangaraju. The church was initially started in the house, in Hindupur in the district of Anantapur of the state of Andhra Pradesh, where the Pastor & his wife V. Glory Rani were residing. From the first service with no members, New Jerusalem Church now avowals of 700+ members & a record global audience.
Thus, was started the first church in Hindupur, under the name ‘New Jerusalem Chruch’. The church started growing & soon the living room was not sufficient & the church had to be expanded to a nearby shed.
Soon the shed also got full & a need for a bigger place was felt. God astoundingly answers Pastor Rangarju with another permanent place in the middle of Hindupur town. In December 2007, a new church was instated for the glory of God.
In the year 2002, God used Pastor Rangaraju to preach the gospel through a television program entitled ‘Sajeeva Swaram’. This was telecast through ‘Citi Cable’ but had to be discontinued in the year 2006 due to lack of required infra & support. However, subsequently after much prayers, God opened doors to preach the gospel on national television channels & the television program now was covered through ‘Zee Telugu’. As prophesied by S R Manohar, to think & plan big, Pastor Rangaraju was being prompted to not limit to only to Hindupur but expand beyond the town of Hindupur. Pastor Rangaraju began thinking & praying for the same. Between expanding in Anantapur or Bangalore, Pastor was clearly directed by God to expand the church in Bangalore.
Thus, in the year 2009, the church in Bangalore was started. Church service was initially conducted in A. V. Varadachar Kalakshetra & Memorial hall. In the year 2014, another milestone was achieved in the history of NJHM. The Lord blessed the Bangalore church with a permanent campus at Hennur, Bangalore.
NJHM also was instrumental in ‘Church Planting’. Under the able stewardship of Pastor Rangaraju satellite churches were started at Penugonga, Konapuram, Mudireddypalli.
New Jerusalem Church, A bible-based church, where precedence is given to the presence of God & aims to connect every believer with his/ her/ their creator. New Jerusalem Church is thus a ‘Human Workshop’ where lives are being transformed in the presence of God & built by the word of God.
